Suggestion - Answer HQ Veterans

Hello everyone,

I recently joined this new platform "EA Forums" after being an active member of Answers HQ for the past ten years. I’d like to suggest a few positive enhancements for the dedicated veterans of EA and Answers HQ.

I strongly believe that Answers HQ veterans who transition to the new platform should have their "stats" transferred, specifically their badges and experience points (XP). Many members have dedicated over a decade to contributing to the community, and it would be a meaningful gesture to acknowledge their efforts by transferring their XP and badges to the new platform. Additionally, I propose creating a special badge for veterans of Answers HQ to recognize their long-standing commitment.

This would be a small token of appreciation that would resonate with every single one of us. I truly hope that this suggestion is taken into consideration by the hardworking team at EA. Thank you in advance!

    Great suggestion about a veteran badge, I really like that idea. Also, I'm glad you've started posting here as well - I've always appreciated your input on the Battlefield forums at AHQ. 

    You've probably seen the post already over on AHQ, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to share it here as it lists what is being brought over as the forums transition and might be useful to others:

    Answers HQ is moving to EA Forums - Answer HQ

    It looks like Profile and XP will be carried over along with badges (the badges sound like they'll be something which follows on, but might be wrong) so long as they've logged into Answers HQ at least once since January 1, 2022 or made at least one post previously and have logged into Answers HQ at least once since January 1, 2019.

    I agree with danisoff. The folks who've been active at AHQ need to be recognized. These are the "Hero's" that keep the game playable.

    Thank you for the kind words. It means a lot to me that you hold my content on Answers HQ in such high regard. I truly feel the same way about you and your content. You’re one of the first people to give me pointers over on Answers HQ, and it means a lot. 

    I’ve seen the post, but I didn’t have time to mark it as solved yet on this forum.  I’m still getting my feet wet here, so I’m not as active as on Answers HQ. If I’m not mistaken, badges will be transferred, but it may take some time. That’s good enough for me! The Veteran recommendation would be a cool addition once Answers HQ gets shut down. 

    Once again, thanks for taking the time to reply.

    I'm glad we share the same opinion, fortunately EA will do the transfer the right way. Honestly, I did not expect any less. 🙂

    One quick addition to what ElliotLH had already shared:

    When we migrate the content over, your EA Forums stats and Answers HQ stats will be added together and recalculated. This will take some time, about two weeks is the current estimate.
    For the badges, there unfortunately isn't an automatic process. To work around that we will be taking exports of the user lists that had earned these badges from Answers HQ and then re-create and re-assign them on the EA Forums. This is time consuming, so bear with us!
