Suggestion Wolfgang Fahrian as an Icon EA FC 26
Dear EA Sports Team,
I would like to once again advocate for Wolfgang Fahrian – not only because of his historic role in the 1962 World Cup, but also due to his Bundesliga career:
- He played in the Bundesliga for Hertha BSC (1964/65, 25 appearances), TSV 1860 Munich (1966/67, 8 appearances), and helped Fortuna Köln gain promotion to the Bundesliga in 1973 (34 appearances in the 1973/74 season).
- As a goalkeeper, he was known for his elegance and agility – nicknamed “The Black Panther” – and stood out for his spectacular reflexes and positioning.
- He earned 10 caps for the German national team and was surprisingly selected as the starting goalkeeper at the 1962 World Cup, coming from second-division club TSG Ulm.
- He played a key role in Fortuna Köln’s 1973 promotion, where the team conceded only 29 goals – a decisive factor in their success.
I strongly believe Wolfgang Fahrian, with his historical significance, Bundesliga experience, and iconic status, would be a valuable addition alongside legends like Lehmann and Kahn.
I’m also willing to support this with fan-made content:
- Short videos highlighting his World Cup story
- Concept graphics such as the fan-made Icon card
- Social media visuals and posts
I truly believe his story could resonate widely – even on an international level.
Kind regards,
