Account Issue and Poor Support Services

When creating my account many years ago, I accidentally signed up using @gmil instead of @gmail and have never been able to change it, as I do not have access to the @gmil account. Whilst annoying, this has never been a major issue but now that EA are rolling out 2-factor authentication I am worried about getting permanently locked out of my account. As I cannot fix this on my end, I need direct support from EA but the support website just feels like an endless loop of useless articles where I'm constantly redirected to the same pages.

    When going through the instructions after clicking on make a case it always ends up taking me back to my settings to change my email, rather than letting me open a case. Is there another way I can open a case/connect with an advisor? Thank you

    Choose the option for "I want to update my EA Account information" when creating the case. You should see the option for chat in the lower left then.
