Background services crashed

I went to go get on my computer to play my sims game and it loads and says background services crashed. so, I go to run an update since it's an option and nothing happened. My game is still not loading. idk what to do I tried everything I wanted to play today to reduce some stress, but it just made it worse. if i can't get it fixed, I need a refund on all the games and purchases, I made because this is crazy how I have to talk to a bot to help. which by the way didn't help.
