can't log in a new account, then got banned
I tried to create a new account for my kid so he can play a game.
I'm all in for keeping the younger ones safe, but this just goes a bridge too far:
I have my own account, and I tried as a parent to create a new account for my kid. The creation of an account succeeded, but I never succeeded to log in with it. Tried several times, different browsers, even installed the EA app for this, where loggin in my account works but not my childs new account - error message was that the account or password were wrong. OK, here I go trying to set a new password again, and then tried to log in... again the same message that the password was wrong , both on web and on the EA app - F* U, i'm using a password manager where my fat fingers are not causing any mistype... so i'm not the problem
For some reason, i could log in on XBOX on my kids account after letting it rest for more than 24 hours. "Ok, i'm settled for when my kid wants to play" so I turned off my device finally having a peacefull mind that i can't log in either the website or the app, but who gives a f* since I could log the new account in on XBOX and my kid was set and could play".
Now one week later (because my kid can only play in the weekends) I was proud to say that I succeeded to create an account and log in. But no, F* U and your peacefull mind mister, your kid started the game and saw the message that the account was banned. Way to go EA on your failing onboarding flow for new accounts.
I can't even log in my kids account to see "the ban history" and check why the account is being banned. On XBOX it's just a QR code that redirects you to the history page - but hey YOU NEED TO F*NG LOG IN FOR THAT. On the App it show a different error but also that the account is being banned but "you can still play your games" - HELL NO mister! Can't get pass the banned error message on XBOX buddy.
EA, please fix your onboarding flow.
Unban my kids account because it has never been used to play (yet).
Fix the function to reset your password, showing it successfully updated the password but you never able to log in on both website or even the EA app - that's just bad testing by your developers.
Hi there, I completely understand your frustration with getting a newly created child account locked and banned before they even have a chance to play.
We cannot assist with account-related issues over the forums, so please reach out directly to EA Help. An advisor there can securely look into the login errors and guide you through the process of disputing the ban on your child's account.
