Cant unlink EA account from steam

Hey, 

I have this weird thing going on when trying to unlink my ea account from my steam account. this is an old account that I havent used in awhile. When I tried to unlink it from steam to link it to the account I actually use, it wont let me. no error code, or anything. I click on unlink, get the pop-up to confirm... and then nothing
