EA account access problem after playstation email address change

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with my EA account, and I’m hoping someone has been in a similar situation.

A few years ago, my PlayStation account was using Email Address 1. Later, I changed the email associated with my PlayStation account to Email Address 2. It’s still the exact same PlayStation account—I only changed the email address.

Now, when I launch Apex Legends, EA asks me to sign in. If I try using Email Address 1, EA sends a verification code to that email. The problem is that I permanently lost access to Email Address 1, so I can’t receive the code.

If I try signing in with Email Address 2, EA wants me to link a new EA account to my PlayStation account. I’m afraid to do that because I’ve spent over €100 on Apex, and I don’t want to lose my progression or purchases.

Another important detail: I tried temporarily changing the email address on my PlayStation account back to Email Address 1 just to test if it would help. After doing that, I signed in to the EA website using my PlayStation account, and instead of accessing my account, I got a message saying that my EA account has been locked.

I've already tried the ea support multiple times but nothing happened.

Has anyone dealt with this before?

Is it possible for EA Support to recover the original EA account and change the email address to my current one, or is there another solution? I still have access to my PlayStation account—I just no longer have access to the original email address that was associated with my EA account.

I’d really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. You mention support is not helping. Were you able to start a chat with them? This is something they will need to assist with. Unfortunately, we can't help with account related issues over the EA Forums. If you're not able to verify ownership of the account, they will not be able to update the email for you.

Hi again, so I was able to contact them but I give them the very exact info and they're always telling me they're not matching. Could you clarify some things with me ? To prove my ownership, is it better to give a lot of evidence that may be not good or to give a few absolutely correct infos ? They ask for my IPv4 but I noticed my current IPv4 isnt the same as 6 months ago, so is it affecting my case ? They ask for my birthday date but I dont remember telling it to ea, so am i supposed to give it or not ? Why isnt a purchase proof enough ? If I login with my new ea account and connect it to my playstation account, am i gonna find my skins etc... or ist connected to the ea account ? And is it possible fort my ea account to disconnect from my playstation account without my consent ?  I'm so sorry I have a lot of questions, please answer to all of them

The best I can tell yo is to just answer the questions and they'll let you know if your ownership of the account is verified.
