I'm trying to link my EA account to my steam account but when i try it says my email which is connected to my EA account was previously connected to a steam account. i cant un link it either because 1st i don't know what/where its linked to and 2nd it doesn't show up anywhere when i try and un link it someone please help I've spent 2 hours downloading apex on steam and don't want to re download it on EA.

  • Hi bob22367

From what you’ve described, it sounds like your email is already tied to an existing EA account, which is already linked to a different Steam account. Can you remember playing EA games from a different Steam account in the past? There might be games and saves you own tied to it. Best to double-check before untethering the link to limit any unnecessary loss (loss of access, progress, and purchases).

You can unlink it from your EA account, but before disconnecting it, please know:

    • EA accounts can only have one of each account type linked to them in their lifetime
      • For example, one Xbox, one PlayStation, one Steam
    • Removing an existing link won't free up the EA account to be linked to a new account of the same kind.
      • For example, removing an older Steam account does not allow a new Steam account to be linked in its place.

Before opting to remove the link, I'd recommend checking out our help guide on this:

If you'd still like to remove the other Steam account from that EA account, knowing the risks, log into the EA account using the same email address and head to the Connected Accounts tab in your EA Account settings. Here you'll see the name of the Steam account that was linked up.

    Hi bob22367
