EA ID Issue
Hello,
I tried reaching out to various EA Reps on this forum via the messaging system for privacy reasons, but after weeks of no response, I guess I have to post here.
I recently logged into my old EA Account and noticed that it had a random alphanumeric string as the EA ID "327f9a7087bb4dd5" instead of my account name. I have Cerebral Palsy and I have used the name "**bleep** X" as my name for gaming since for well over 20 years at this point. It is my Steam account name, my Xbox Account name (including EA games like Titanfall 2), pretty much any gaming platform I am on, that's the name I use. It has never, ever, been an issue. I tried every variation I could of think of for the EA ID "[REMOVED]", "**bleep**-X", "[REMOVED]"-- only to discover that your system considers the word **bleep** to be "inappropriate". While I understand that your intent is try and prevent people from hurting others, as someone who very much matches the description, the word [REMOVED] is not offensive in and of itself. Further, with regards to my use of it as a nom-de-guerre, I am referring to myself and I do not think anyone has the right to police what I call myself, especially when I do so out of pride or recognition of self. To do so is to denigrate me as a person as you are effectively saying that to recognize my own condition, even in a cheeky way, is inappropriate, and, thus, my existence as a person is inappropriate. I certainly hope that is not what Electronic Arts means to say.
In light of the above, could you please change my EA ID to "[REMOVED]", "[REMOVED]", or some variation thereof? I would very much appreciate it. Thank you so much for your time and I hope you have a wonderful day. Take care, my friend.
P.S. The word you system keeps unnecessarily censoring is [REMOVED]. The IPA pronunciation for that is [REMOVED]. Just mentioning in case you didn't understand it from context because your system is automatically replacing the word with "**bleep**" even though it is not offensive.
