Yeah, that's understandable. In most cases that comes down to not having any substantial updates to share. There are definitely times where something along the lines of, "No updates, but we're still working on it" comes in handy, but in a lot of cases we'd prefer to wait until there's a real update to provide.
Post after post of "Still here today, no updates" can get old real fast too, and pull people back into the thread thinking we're sharing something important only to see it's a non-update. There's a tricky balance to be had but in the vast majority of cases, if there's not a reply it's because we're still waiting for some additional information or confirmation on our end too before we can share more. Last thing we'd want is to promise a fix too soon, then have it get pushed back weeks/months after testers found an issue with the patch or fix, for example.
