Email to original EA account is deleted.

I am trying to unlink my current accounts that are tied to an old EA account of mine. The email used for that account has been deleted for X amount of years now and I can't receive the codes needed to do all the unlinking. I have this current account that I would like to link them to.

  • Hi HG_Unknown,

The only way to unlink an account from your EA account is by going to the Connected Accounts tab in your EA Account settings portal. As you've found though, the link can't be removed without first popping in a verification code. So, you need help updating where the verification codes are being sent to. Our support team can help you with that after you've passed the security stage with them (they need to verify that you're the account owner before they can make changes to the EA account).

However, you may not need to unlink the accounts. You mentioned you have a current EA account you want to link them to instead. Is that because the current EA account has the preferred email registered to it? If so, you can put that email on the EA account where your links are, with the support team's help, and everything would be sorted, which is good news, as unlinking accounts leads to loss of data, purchases, and more (this guide shares more on the risks of unlinking). You just need to free it up to be used on the other EA account (i.e. remove it from the current EA account so it can be registered to the other EA account). Read this EA Help guide for more:
