Endless support loop

I have just spent hours trying to access live chat to resolve issues with sims 3, but I am unable to create or reopen a ticket that gives me access to live chat.

Following either submitting a new ticket or clicking resume, with subject and attachment I am taken back to home page, and there is no open case.

I tried to get around this by finding a problem that would allow me to send an email, but I only got an automated response picking up keywords from my complaint and saying respond back with all information again in 24 hours.

They seem to be trying to imply all issues can be found somewhere on the forum, but the post sims 3 expansion packs not showing in launcher | EA Forums - 4947753 has the solved solution to my problem to be contact support. They need to check that the product codes are valid following merged account but the customer support backend is set up so you can not contact them.

This is appalling customer support such a large company, I can't understand how a company that are trying to compete with steam can have such poor implementation of customer support.
