FC26 on Nintendo Switch unable to connect to EA account

I bought FC26 on Nintendo Switch. By error, I linked the account to my son’s switch profile. I have been trying to link it back to my main profile and having all sorts of issues. Anyone has the same issues or can help?
EA customer service tried and ended up saying that I have to wait 6 months. Does that make any sense?

Unfortunately 514c0d5ed7739a3e there is nothing that we can do to speed up the 6 month wait.

It's part of the unlinking process and covered here

When you link accounts, it creates a lifetime link to protect you from malicious activity and help prevent performance issues in your games.

You can unlink your platform accounts from your EA Account if you want to link them to a different EA Account, as long as that EA Account has never had the same account type linked to it before in its lifetime.

That means if you unlink an Xbox gamertag from your EA Account, you can’t link a different Xbox gamertag to it in the future.

Once you unlink a platform account from your EA Account and link it to a new one, you can’t unlink it again for six months.

It is not possible for us on the forums or for our live support team to speed this process up.

Hi Darko, thank you for the quick answer. I have a couple follow-up questions.
    Here is the situation:

I have 3 Nintendo profiles. Let’s call them A, B and C. C is the parent profile (mine). A and B are my kids profiles, linked to C, my main profile. When I purchased FC26, because I didn’t  know there was a limit of 1 profile to link to my EA account, I connected to Nintendo profile A. That was a mistake because profile A is a limited child profile. So the EA customer service unlinked my EA account from profile A and linked it to profile C.

I can somewhat confirm that because now when I try to connect profile A to EA, I get a message that I am already linked to C.

    A) First question: How can I verify/confirm, on the EA portal, which Nintendo profile is currently linked?

    b) When I try to connect to EA from C (the one supposedly linked) I get an error message saying « Unable to load information from server. Please try again later. » Is this error the result that I just unlinked the EA account from Nintendo profile A, and I need to wait 6 months before the link to Nintendo profile C is « active »? I am asking because that error message does not say I need to wait 6 months or that I am not linked to profile C. It just says there is a server issue and to try later.

    c) If it is accurate that my EA account is linked to profile C but that I have to wait 6 months, what short term solution do you suggest if I want to play FC26 online? Is there a way to create a new EA account altogether using the same email address I used for the existing EA account? And then link that new EA account to my main Nintendo Switch profile? Can you suggest anything else, because I have to say it is pretty frustrating to have paid 80$ for a game I cannot play online for 6 months.

    thank you for your time.

Hey 514c0d5ed7739a3e will try my best to answer.

    1. You can log into your EA account and see what accounts are linked.
    2. If account C is linked then you should be able to access the online aspects though this may depend on your Nintendo account settings. You will need to check them to ensure that you are not blocking or restricting online modes.
    3. The 6 month limit would apply here also from the EA side. For how to play the game, well you wold need to speak with Nintendo support about the options.
