Game becomes more and more unplayable after every update

I know Sims 4 has always had its problems, but the game is genuinely just becoming unplayable. Now every time an update or fix happens, my game won’t open with any of my previous saves/mods/previous gameplay and I have to spend hours each time trying to figure how to get it all back into my game or figure out where the issue lies. With this newest update, I have been trying to fix it all again but I don’t think I can get it to even work again without losing all of my previous progress, which at that point why play the game? This is just so frustrating to have to expend this much energy to try and play a game. Im wasting more time trying to make my game playable then I am even playing the game. I know I’m not the only one feeling this. Sims 4 is just worsening as a game but they are still adding new content for people to pay for on top of it all?? This is so utterly ridiculous.
