i've connected my xbox account to my EA account, ive got pc game pass, yet when i try to download a game thats from ea play through game pass, it dumps me onto the EA app and wants me to buy it. How do i fix this issue?

I’ve also been having this problem trying to link my ea account i’ve been using on my ps4 and it has never been linked to an xbox. An error message shows up about not being able to connect at this time. It won’t let me sign into my microsoft account.
