I have to unlink my Steam account

It sounds like you've triggered the 6-month timer. Here's how it crops up:

Once you unlink a platform account from your EA Account and link it to a new one, you can’t unlink it again for six months.

Make sure unlinking is the best choice for you and that you understand all the risks below before you unlink your account.

To the best of my knowledge, there isn't a way to bypass that timer.

It says I cant unlink until 12.29.2025

Ok, I understand the situation. To unlink your own Steam account:

1. Go to the Connected Accounts tab in your EA Account settings.
2. Find the account you want to unlink, and select the Unlink button next to it.
3. Read the disclaimer and make sure you want to unlink, knowing all the risks.
4. Check the box next to I understand and wish to continue.
5. Select Unlink.

Please keep in mind that you can’t link the new Steam account to that same EA Account, even after unlinking the older Steam account. To play EA games from the new Steam account, you’ll need to create a new EA Account to link them up.

My currently linked account is my old Steam account. I created a new Steam account about a year ago, and I’ve been using that one since. I accidentally linked my old Steam account to my EA account, so I need help with this.

• ✔️ You can unlink your Steam account BUT...
• ❌ You CAN'T link a new Steam account in its place

EA accounts can only have one Steam linked up in their lifetime. 

When you link accounts, it creates a lifetime link to protect you from malicious activity and help prevent performance issues in your games. - EA Help: 'Unlink your platform accounts from your EA Account'

Depending on your goal, you may have other options besides unlinking available. Could you please share a bit more? For example, are you looking to unlink the old Steam account because it was compromised and you want to start fresh?
