I updated EA ID after ban, but old id still shows in game

My other post was removed because I think I posted in the wrong area, so maybe here I can get answers.
I recently received a ban because of a word in my EA Id, and have since changed my Id when I was able to edit my account info so the word is gone. However, when playing Battlefield 6 I can still see my old Id with the word in it.
So, are others seeing my old user id instead of my new id? How can I change it so that my new ID changes in the games I'm playing? I've put on anonymous mode to try and help but I'd really like to just play the game without having to worry about receiving another ban.
