I want to delete my Ea account

I have had an Ea account for years on my Xbox recently switched to steam and when I firstly signed in I couldn't remember the log in so I just made a new account well I got my password and everything remembered on the Xbox now I want to add my steam to my old account and it won't let it unless I delete this account and can't figure out how please someone help
