My EA Account Was Hacked

My email account was hacked recently. I’m a PlayStation gamer and whenever I start an EA game, I get a message saying that, since it’s been a while, a verification code has been sent to my email (the hacked one) which I no longer have access to. I contacted EA and the only way to recover the email and use the new one is to verify that the account is mine - however - I keep failing the verification for some reason. The details I give don’t match up - I’m assuming the hack may have caused my details to change - and they refuse to help me further. There’s no other way of recovering my old email and using the new one. I’ve also found out that only one email can be linked to my PSN account - EVER!

I’m at a complete loss here. What should I do? EA have basically told me that, unless I pass the verification to recover the old email and delete it, I can basically never play EA games again!

Account security is important to us.

When helping with certain issues, like account changes, it’s important that we can verify that you own this account. We want to make sure we’re not compromising your account, so we can’t help out with your issue currently.

If you’re able to regain access to your email account later, you can resume this case on EA Help at help.ea.com/my-cases/ or click Contact Us on any help.ea.com page to start a new case.
