need help because the web chats suck

Question

its nothing new that EA support isnt that great, recently my account was hacked and presumably sold off, i try to do the account recovery process with an agent but they ignore half the things i say and just follow an unhelpful script, and upon telling me to find the correct info, which i know is already correct, they tell me its wrong, even tho i have provided irrefutable evidence that the account is mine, better yet they HAVE to use the first email the account was made with, i made my account a decade ago how the **bleep** am i mean to know that? I have the new email the account was changed to and the username since my friends still have the account added. Better yet i cannot escalate the case to a someone with more authority so i have to rely on the help of some agents broken english...

Sorry to hear you've been having some trouble recovering your account through support. As they do need to discuss and verify personal and account information before any changes can be made however, I'm afraid we are not able to assist with this on the forums given anyone can see these posts.
The information they're trying to verify would be whatever was originally registered on the account, which may not always be the actual information, depending on what was entered at the time of account creation. If they're asking for an address, for example, while you would clearly know your own address and be giving them that information correctly, if that isn't the address provided initially they wouldn't be able to accept that answer.&nbsp;
That's purely an example as we aren't able to see those details here, but you're absolutely welcome to resume a case or create a new one here to have a different advisor take another look over the situation with you.
