ps3 help plz

hey all,  so after a decade i decided to pull out the ole ps3 and play some games with my son. I have the tiger woods and when it starts up,, it says that it cannot connect to a server. I get that. but i m not wanting to play online against random people, instead i just wanna play against my son at home here. Is there a bypass somehow that we can play even if the servers are down/ not working?
