    Nothing good will come of it, that is for sure. I expect support for Sims 4 to be cancelled before the end of the year since I doubt they would bother investing to try and make this game suit their conservative values. Too much work. More likely they'd want to develop a new sims game suitable to be released in Saudi Arabia instead considering Sims 4 is banned there. Along with likely most other EA games. 

    Going to be a lot of layoffs along with a lot of people leaving the company. Just like most of the talent left from companies like Bioware after obtained by EA. So I guess that's karma. 

    Here's hoping that those who leave start their own company to make a proper spiritual successor to the sims. Or Maxis goes independent, though I imagine whatever agreements they signed might not allow for it. Too integrated into EA so better to leave and start over.
