South Africa Server Is Broken

Thank you for sharing your Connection Quality Report with us.

Looking over the report, your average ping of 17ms is actually quite good, but there is some active packet loss and jitter present. Even a small percentage of packet loss or jitter can cause those abrupt lag spikes, freezing, and red/yellow connection icons you are seeing in-game, as your console struggles to stay perfectly synchronized with the server.

I want to be completely transparent with you, there are no server-side changes or fixes I can make on our end to change how your individual connection routes to our servers. Because of this, the only way to resolve or minimize this stuttering is to address the local connection route. Apart from that, I can pass your feedback to the team, as they're always working to improve the player experience.

All we can do from our side right now is provide you with standard connectivity troubleshooting steps (such as configuring port forwarding, setting up a static IP, or clearing your DNS cache) to help stabilize your connection and eliminate that packet loss. If you are happy to try these steps out, let me know and I am more than happy to post them and help you work through them.
