Subscription-Based Model Proposal for EA Sports FC

Instead of releasing a new game every year, transitioning EA Sports FC to a subscription-based model could offer a more efficient, sustainable, and user-friendly approach. With this system:

  • The game would remain on a single platform and receive continuous updates.
  • Players would no longer need to purchase a new game annually.
  • EA would benefit from a more predictable and sustainable revenue stream.
  • Accessibility would improve, potentially expanding the user base.

A live-service approach would allow for dynamic content updates and a more engaging experience.

This model has the potential to enhance the user experience and help EA grow its market reach. If EA sees fit, a player survey could be conducted to gather broader community feedback.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this idea.

  • You do realise they already have a subscription model, right? Any new game releases instantly on it. It is costly but it exists.

There are some changes to a game you simply can't update and must upgrade. The peope who do purchase often don't take kindly to overhauls for a game they paid for.

  • How would player ratings work, how would ea sell packs if everyone has max rating team?
