Unable to unlink Steam account because I don't have my sign in info anymore.
The name of this account is not giving, I'm aware and I do apologize. I seem to have made this account all the way back in 2021 but I don't have the sign-in info for it anymore. This wouldn't have been a problem if I also hadn't linked my Steam account to it as well. I only managed to sign in to this account because I had A Way Out installed and it automatically signs in to EA through Steam. I have access to my account now but I can't make any changes to it; including unlinking my Steam account, so I can link it to a fresh account. I need a verification code sent to my old e-mail that I don't have access to anymore, unfortunately.
If you could recover access to the EA account, it sounds like updating the email address registered to the account and resetting where the verification codes are being sent to would solve the problem and remove any need to unlink Steam from the EA account.
That is good, as unlinking is generally not recommended - it carries some risks. Read more on that here:

Our support team can help you update the email on the account once you've passed the security stage with them. To reach them:
- Open this guide and scroll to the bottom: How to get back into your EA Account
- Click 'Contact Us'
- Answer the Questions from the Ai Chat bot
- Select the contact option from the list available
Try to have this info ready before connecting with them:
- the original email address on your EA Account
- any usernames that are linked to your EA Account, like your EA ID, Xbox Live Gamertag, or PlayStation™Network Online ID
- any invoice numbers from games you’ve bought through an EA platform, like the EA app.
