Every few years EA demonstrates the same thing in a different way. You invest emotionally and financially into their games, build skills, communities, identities around them and then they withdraw support, shut servers, close studios.
The player carries all the risk. EA carries none of it.
And yet we keep accepting it. Why?

Closing down of servers for older games and shuttering studios is sadly part of modern gaming and while we would all love to see games go on forever it simply isn't the the case.
