hi there, my friend is having the same issue as above. She is using a friend pass as i bought the game. We have just brought the game in the last hour. she has checked and not been banned either. 

izapanda662 I need them to post on here with a screenshot of the message they are getting. If it is an account issue and not a network issue, we cant troubleshoot through someone else's account.

Hey, folks

Took a look on the EA side, all EA accounts are clear. We cannot see issues on the Steam side though. I would log into your Steam accounts make sure there are no emails or sanctions.

Restricted typically indicates that - at least on the EA side - a sanction has been placed, or the account is underage.

If the account is underage, those are settings you have to change on your end.

If they are not, reset the password to your EA account, and your Steam account, and try to log in again manually.

After that, please reach out to Steam Support so that they can look at their end.
