Glitch in threedom lost in random

I've been following a guide to the t I finished getting the counts plushie thing then was supposed to go left after I defeat everyone and find pip pipkens but the guard is still there and now on the map it isn't showing me a main quest exclamation point like it's supposed to only side quests I thought I did something wrong but I've done everything it says and watched others play on YouTube it must be some kind of glitch and I guess I have to start all over 😭
