@EA_Illium this is an issue with the launcher... there's another thread here where you said they released a patch to "fix" it, but the issue still happens. the thread was marked as solved because the op ultimately requested a refund.

Edit: I also want to point out that the patch notes for the patch you referenced make no mention of having fixed any install issues.

If you are still seeing issues with installing Immortals on the EA app try giving the steps I've prevously mentioned a try.

from my experience there seems to be a problem with the EA background services which can be seen in the Task manager.

I've experienced the same problem with this game during the install and on the phase "Finalizing Wrapping up..." it was stuck on 80%.

I tried to cancel the installation and restart the download process multiple times and the thing that worked for me was below.

As the button 'Cancel download' was greyed out each time the Finalizing stage got stuck, I would normally had to open Task manager, find EA processes and manually 'End task' them. Because otherwise EA app would bug out and I couldn't even reopen the app no more.

This time I just closed EA app and in the Task manager I right clicked on the EA background process service and chose 'Stop' instead of 'End task'.

After that step I reopened the EA app, resumed the download and finally the installation process went to 'Complete'!

I'm on Windows 11, I hope this helps.

this fix does nothing it just crashes the ea app and forces you to restart the background services. still cant download this game. worst company and app ever.

I tried everything but it didn't work. But what you wrote didn't work either. But at least it showed the way. Because somehow dotnetfx35 is not triggered during installation. That's why it gets stuck at 80%. I also uploaded that file manually. Then I tried again and the installation was completed. Thanks for the useful information. At least you can try this method if your method doesn't work. Absolutely definitive solution.
