Both me and my friend have played this game before on Steam when Origin was still used and we never had an issue. But now that it's using the EA launcher, I am unable to invite him. I own the game and he uses the Friend's Pass version. We have tried multiple solutions found online yet nothing works, and neither of us have "Nahimic Services" nor "Rivatuner" which seemed to be causing this issue for other players. To describe the issue, we'd both launch our games and I would press "Invite friend" as I've previously done, then my friends list would pop on my screen and I'd invite my friend and would see "Invite sent" at the bottom right corner of my screen, but that's about it. Nothing happens on his end no matter how many times I try again. We've been trying to fix it for the past hour he still can't receive my invite, even tried uninstalling the EA app and installing it again, still nothing. (previously I was able to invite him the same way through Origin and he'd receive my invite and we'd be able to play with no issue). Please help

Hello,I have the same problem as "milion" other players - I do not receive invitation from my friend. Neither I or him is receiving it. What is weird, that it was working, but after 10 hours of gameplay the invitations suddenly stopped appearing. We did nothing to our compurters except normal windows actualizations... I, as the receriver of the invitation, have tried many solutions I have found here on Answer HQ, or elsewhere on the internet. I have done milion things, re-setting my computer, did the clean boot etc. What worked was clearing cache via EA App Restore that I've found under windows button. We both had to do it. But... That is not the main point. My question is, why do I have to undergo such thing? I have found that many people suffer from this and I do not think that as a customer I should be responsible for runnig the app or finding, how to turn off elemantary functionalities. Frankly, I think that the notification pop-up is nice, but when it is not working and I have to spend 3 hours online finding solution, it is useless.Why the invitations are not listed in the client? Wouldn't that solve the overlay problem? When the invitation is missed or not received, why can't I find it in my profile...?Thank you in advance for the answer.

I have the same exact issue. I have tried every possible combination of overlay settings, on, off, all, custom, invites and chat only, in game, out of game. Blocking and unblocking said friend as mentioned by other users as a workaround. I've installed and reinstalled the EA app several times. Ive completely uninstalled the game. No amount of settings adjustments changes anything. I still cannot play the game with my friend on PC (It Takes Two). We are both on PC, we have played this game together before, when we had Origin. All of this arose after we were forced to switch to the EA app. This makes it impossible to play a game that money was spent on. @EA_Illium

@EA_IlliumAlready had all of these settings set to exactly as you mentioned, switched them off and back on just to be sure. completely restarted the EA app, signed in again, tried to receive invite and send invite from both ends, nothing changed. I can see popups related to anything from the app, BUT a friend inviting to play It Takes Two. I can see they are online, i can see random offers from EA pop up, but no game invites still.

I am having these issues as well. Both can open the overlay and send and receive messages, game invites do not come through at all.On both of our machines we do not have the services that have sorted this issue so far. Tempted to just buy through Steam and use their interface, at least it works

Hello, i wanna play it takes two with a friend and we both downloaded it through xbox game pass but when i run the game and hit play onlineand an sent invite it show invite sent but he did not recieve anything and vice versa i checked the ingame overlay and nothing, we also can send eachother messages but nothing happens

Experiencing the same issue, I see the notification of the invite being sent, but my friend receives nothing.
They are able to open the overlay and they do receive notification of messages I sent them through it.

hi i am on pc i played the game till the vacuum chapter when i tried to login later the invite button and it didnt work the game is unplayable, i tried to unintall the game and re install it but it didnt work

@EA_Illium Yes we both have those enabled, but when we try to invite each other we see "invite sent" but it is never received on the other end.
