It Takes Two - Unable to connect to the EA Servers.

Hello! Me and my friend are trying to play It Takes Two through Steam and she keeps having this error : 

Unable to connect to EA servers. Please check your internet connection, make sure the Platform Client is online and try again.Please see ea.com/unable-to-connect for more information.

We played without any problems before but we keep getting this for the past couple of days out of nowhere. 

We are connected with Wifi and ethernet is not an option. 

She tried:

Restart her pc
Restart her router
Change DNS 
Reinstall the game
