It Takes Two Friend Invitation Issue - Friend not receiving invitation

Hello,

Me and my friend are trying to play It Takes Two on PC. We both bought it through Steam, but the game launches through EA anyways.

We have managed to play together a few times, but recently the invitation system stopped working. I will send the invitation, but the notification/pop-up doesn't show up for my friend.

We have double checked that in game overlay and notifications have been enabled as per the online help, but it still doesn't show up. Messages still work normally for them as they get the notification and the pop-up.

We have been recommended to do the following and will give an update if this issue has been resolved. Are there any other troubleshooting solutions that we could attempt?

- Verify notifications are enabled

- EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)

- Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from

- Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates

Note: Clearing the app cache and updating the app has worked before, but didn't resolve the issue when attempted again.

Thanks for your time!

  • Hi @lanz0317, Could both of you try launching Steam and the EA app as admin's on your devices then check if the invite comes through?

  • Hello,

Yes, my friend is able to send messages and notifications pop-up fine for me. Even sending messages to them works fine with that notification popping up for them.

It seems to be the invitation that doesn't seem to be notifying them, hence they are unable to join.
