I've seen other reports, but they are not talking about PSP. I play the game and I see the save spinning every once in a while but it happened two times that the game reverted to a begging of a level, for example rose's room.
How can this be solved?

I did all the steps above and started playing again.
I still see 0 % progress after about 2 hours of playing:
Im in the castle as the wizard and the warrior...
The console is open and I'm scared to do anything to avoid the progress getting lost.
Let me know what I should be clicking to avoid the progress getting lost...
Seems like it might be related to rest mode, and maybe power outage.
I've talked to a friend and he told me to turn off the console instead of putting it in rest mode.
I've turned the console off and on and the game progress is saved.
I hope the above usage of the console will save me the grief of losing game progress again. Fingers crossed.
