Mindboggling issue letting my 10 year old use friends pass

I bought this game to play with my son - he is 10. He has a PS child account which is restricted to teen.

When starting the friends pass he can't get past the logging into EA. Because even though he now has an EA child account I can't link his PS account to his EA account. He has an independent PS subscription meaning that it is not shared with me.

It is absolutely absurd.

Any solution to this?

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks EA_Barry, This still makes no sense. I should as his parent be able to decide what he can and cannot do, this is not the responsibility of EA. Also, the link states that on PS the parental rules of PS are followed, which is evidently not the case.

    Completely ridiculous!

    Child accounts can't:

    • access online modes on PC or Mac in certain games
    • make purchases - children can’t be EA Play members or use EA Gift cards
    • log in to our websites
      • Child accounts can still use EA Help to create a case if they have an email address (a parent has the option to use the email address they used to validate a child account).
    • use companion web apps for games, or use mobile companion apps that need players to log in with an EA Account
    • connect their games to social media or link their accounts to Steam.
