I clicked Play button but no response, and back to ea app and clicking play again.. and it doesn't end..How can I solve this situation? re-installed 5 times (both ea app and wild hearts) so please don't tell me reinstall / reboot computer.

@dynisaThis really isn't directed at you; but anyone.... anyone.... who thinks this is an acceptable solution, or even a valid work-around, is part of the problem.

Hello I am having the same issue as @lawrence8102 ,I tried all of the steps you mentionned but it didn't solved the problem.The problem being when pressing play on steam the game doesn't start at all and it only open the "EA app" software.> Also, it is important to note that my Steam account is properly linked to my EA account used on the "EA app" software. I am suspect that the problem come from the EA program called "Link2EA.exe" that can be found here ProgramFiles\Programs\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\Link2EA.exe.Infact, when launching the game from steam or from the EA software "EA app" a window open which run the following command line: "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\Link2EA.exe" "link2ea://launchgame/1938010?platform=steam&theme=BOhni" "" "" "" "" "" "" "" ""When looking at the arguments used in the command line it lookslike it starting the right game from the steam library as the steam appID is the correct one.>>> After the window closing while showing nothing (the window from the above commadn line), I can see the process of WILD HEARTS starting in the task manager (with the following command line: F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\WILD_HEARTS\00_game\target_origin\ex\WILD HEARTS.exe)>>> Finaly the process closes without any error messages (as far as I am able to rapidly browse through the task manager). Steam's play button turns into the stop buttonDate this issue started: I bought the game Feb 17 around 1am EST, and played it for about five hours, two different sessions. Anything else: When you press play the pop up shows and then disappears on steam. It says the game is running, and it shows in the task manager. There is no game window. The game does show on the task manager. Having the same issue, same error code in event viewer.
Ran the system file checker, no issues found, verified game files via steam, also no missing files.
Replaced my SSD a few weeks ago, and on a fresh windows 11 install, so I doubt that is the issue.

I really hoped that 1-st day patch might change things, but this is not happening.
So, the best way would be find out, what the f... does the executable calls at offset of 0x0000000002cdceb0 and then find, which function of old .dll it gets instead of what it was supposed to be, but I feel we will have to wait for devs update next week and hope it will fix it...

but today i want to play another game but i got some error then i search a solution for that game someone say "stop backup Desktop and Documents in Onedrive" when i do that i just try to launch Wild Heat maybe it have a same solution. Then it work!!

-click the OneDrive symbol (Bottom right in W10) and click the Cogwheel on the top left of the popup, and press settings.
-under Sync and Backup / Back up important PC folders to OneDrive click “Manage back up”
-press “Stop back up” on Desktop and Documents.
