Re: It takes two crashing on Xbox Series S

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for letting us know what you are seeing in ITT on Xbox, I wanted to get some additional information to see if we can pinpoint what might be causing the crashing. Please respond in the thread to the following question:

  • Which console are you on? (Xbox One, Series X, Series S)
  • Are you crashing when playing with someone else?
  • If playing 2-player are you local or online co-op?
  • How long into playing, or at what point in the game are you seeing crashing?

In addition, try going through the following steps and let us know if anything changes.

  • Change power saving options
  • Close other running games or apps, (for Series X|S also close others running in quick resume)
  • Remove any connected device, additional USB's from the console and restart
  • Remove then Readd Gamer Tag to console
  • If playing Co-op see if switching the host to the other player makes a difference

Tagging everyone for vis: @Myszka2 @notuseduser @RamonSaci @SuperDumplingMan @Manoskap

Thanks!

    Hi everyone,

I wanted to confirm if everyone was still running into this issue and if anything has changed for you @Myszka2?

  • Dear,

we play every day, but 15 minutes and xbox series x  turn off.

  • Hello, in the recent weeks we've tried all these methods below and none of them worked.

    "Hi @2vb1p5jtdumo @RamonSaci

Would you both be able to try the following steps to see if this continues?

    • Check for updates
    • Persistent Storage
      • Go to settings > Select Device & Connections > Then Blue-Ray
      • Select Persistent Storage > Clear Persistent Storage
    • Alternate Mac:
      • Go to settings > Select General  > Then Network settings
      • Go to advanced settings > Alternate Mac address > Select clear
      • Select restart

    • Check for additional content
      • Press the Xbox "X" button on your controller > Select My Games and Apps
      • Under Games, scroll to your game and press Start
      • Select Manage Game and add ons > Select the Game (will shows version) on the right (top choice of the three)
      • Then Manage Installation on Xbox one > Should show additional downloads and files if needed"

Additionally, I have tried almost  all from your last answer (Power, add and remove account), except changing May and Cody sides (which I'll try in a later run). After removing and adding my gamertag to the console, the previous save game was gone and we had to start again. This time the xbox turned off after 45 min during the 2nd boss battle (The toolbox). As the game ran for 45 min before turning the xbox off I thought everything was fine, as it usually shut down after 10-15 min in the past weeks, sadly the error still persists. One interesting thing is that once I just opened the game to continue from the last checkpoint and did nothing, I let both Cody and May just standing there and the Xbox didn't crash and it stayed on for more than 1 hour.

I play on a Xbox Series X, in local co-op, one is my main account and another one is a guest account, should I add another account?

@RamonSaci Can you try adding another account versus using a guest one and check if you continue seeing crashes?

Also, @Myszka2 @RamonSaci To check what power option do you have on your console can you try?

    • Changing power options, restarting, and testing
    • Clearing any additional apps from the Quick Resume group, then restarting the game and testing?

Also, I believe Gen 5 should allow you to stream play ITT, can you test it and see if the game or console crashes when trying to play this way? (I'm not sure of the systems used to cloud stream but I am curious if the game seems stable this way)

    Thank you!

  • Hello, I tried with both Power Options to enable different times. Same result.

Will try adding another account and also streaming to my phone via Xbox Remote Play. Sorry for the delay, it's somewhat difficult to find time with my wife to play the game, especially now that's a frustrating experience.

Will let you know as soon as I have more info!
