Any ideas on when this will be fixed? It's an issue across all platforms and has been for at least a week now. Going to request a refund soon

Wanted to give a quick update this has been shared with our team. I wanted to get some more information for them. Does this happen on every playthrough, or is there any pattern to when a game will save or won't save?
If you relaunch the game will it load the correct progress? Does being invited by a friend then having them start the game make a difference from being the host yourself?
All this has already been answered. This is a small thread, all the information is already here.
No, once you have switched the machine off / closed the game, when you reload, part (or sometimes all) of the recent save data is gone.
There is no pattern, please see other people's posts.
Again, an example, you play one hour. it saves 10 times, when you reload the next day, the last 8 saves are gone, you need to play from save 2.
This is only resolved in MY experience by getting to the end of a chapter (or sometimes by getting to the end of a sub-chapter) but not always the case.
I only play local co-op
PS5 console used.I have played at least 40% of the game twice and only on Chapter 6
I play online with my brother so he uses the friend pass. I am on a PS5 and he is on a PS4. I always invite him to play. I can visibly see that it says saving when we get through some areas. However, it seems there is a pattern in which it does not actually save unless we get through the whole chapter and get to a new one. I have repeated this and been successful for a few chapters already. At first when I wanted to close the game when I was still in the middle of a chapter I would just exit to the main menu and look back to see if it had saved and it would not. I would close the game completely and the save would still not be there. To reiterate, it seems that completing the entire chapter and getting to a new one does in fact save. Hope this helps.

- @EA_Illium I just beat the second level with the nail gun and tool box and the following day we started the game and there was no continue button as if it didn’t save any progress and we had to start from the very beginning. I’m nervous to turn it off again now that we’re further than before! I’d hate to have to start over again and lose all our current progress!😵
I'm on XBox One S, and my kids just had a heated argument, because returning after dinner they lost 45 minutes of the game, and won't play, because it was so hard for them to advance.
This is a major issue that shouldn't be 'mentioned to the team' - but something that needs to be brought up to those in charge of finding and fixing a problem and getting a patch pushed out.
I can't think of any larger error in a game, than throwing the players advancement out the windows, seemingly every time! I mean, how has this not gotten more attention?
As a parent I'm annoyed to have paid for the game, only to have my kids 1) like the game, 2) tolerate the difficulty in cooperation, and 3) refuse to play it again because the setback was hard for the, as they struggled.
As I can see that the game is defective, based on the threads on the subject, and it was sold to me from EA with their knowledge, I will go for a refund based on defective on delivery. I'll recommend all affected here in the thread to refund the game, and watch for a patch from EA, as there's no way to get further attention to this if you simply allow this to remain a support-chat subject.

jan 3rd 2022, the issue is still there. on pc.
Happening on Windows 10 via Steam, one person owns license, other uses Friend Pass. License owner always invites other person. Save indicator shows, but most of progress lost on relaunch. Not sure what triggers it (does save take longer than save indicator animation?).

Meanwhile my doughter and I have finished the Game. We made sure, that we have enough time for each session. Then I checked in the Menu -> Chapter Selection if the actual game status was saved and available for loading in the chapter menu. With that, it worked okay for us although the saving points (which are then listed in the menu) are sometimes far apart. So you have to play sometime a while to be on the save side. Annoying….
But after finishing I must admit, this game is really cool. So many different elements to play and a sweet story behind it. I tried to find a new game for me and my daughter, but it seems to be very difficult to find another game for 2 players which offers such a big game variety.
Pretty sad, that EA not even answers to all those issues…

If you can’t even play it and to support can’t help you…. Yea, then I would ask for my money back - @sacmahoni I'm so glad you and your daughter were able to play, it looks like so much fun ... wish we could play it too.

That is really interesting. I just cannot figure out why it won't load on mine. There's that not that much to installing it; you just click install and wait. I don't know what the heck happened ... And I've uninstalled it twice now!
Seriously, no replies since 2021?!?!?!?! Really ?!?!?!!?! We are having the same issue on the Switch version. It keeps losing our place & we have to go through difficult wasp battles over & over again!! Come on EA, this has gone on WAAAAAAAY to long with no resolution!
