Hi! I'm currenlty having the same issue. I bought both the game and EA play through steam (I believe I also have it through gamepass, but not sure how that works). I noticed another thread was recently locked saying that the issue had been fixed, but it definitely has not been for me, I get the same "failed ot launch" error as this person stated above (the same one from the locked thread) that I have been getting for two or three days (tried uninstalling, clearing cache, etc.)
edit: I believe I have some form of EA Play through gamepass, not the game itself.
Hi! I've been trying to launch the game, but as many others - it does not even start.
First launch of the game prompted the instalation of EA app. I assume the migration went well, as my origin games are there in the app. As is the Wild Hearts.
Now after that - the game does not lauch at all. What it does is opeining the EA app small window called Link2EA, game try to lauch - it shows in the task manager for 1 sec and then everything tied to the EA app or Wild Hearts stops.
Now what I've tried:
- launching game directly from folder -normally and as admin
- launching from EA app, while game is installed by steam
- closing all steam/EA app related tasks and running game via steam/EA app/from folder
- clearing cache in EA app
- checking steam game integrity
- reinstalling the game on steam
- updating drivers
- disabling antivirus and VPN
Launching game via EA app looks similar to steam option. link2ea shows, EA app closes, game does not start and after that EA app pop up again.
My pc specs should be more than enough to be able to play the game.
I'd love to be able to play the game. Help or quick fix woul be appreciated.
Love

Hi @DrakesDark,
Thanks for adding that context and sharing what you've already checked for. Could you try these steps next please:
- Clear the EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery - Clear cache)
- Verify the game in your Steam library
Those should do the trick but if not, please then:
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- Try closing other Anti-Cheats and overlays that may be running
Hopefully that will help resolve the issue. Let me know how you get on with that.

- @EA_Lanna I'm afraid the problem persist. As mentioned before, veryfing game on steam doesnt help, nor does clearing EA app cache. No app or antovorus that might limit thing is running.

Hi @DrakesDark,
Ah ok, sorry I don't mean to ask you to repeat steps. Can you double-check that the EA account is absolutely linked up to the Steam account with Wild Heart on it? On the EA account you're already logged into, go to your EA Account and Billing Settings and click on the Connections tab. You should see a Steam account is displayed there. Could you make sure it's the one with Wild Heart in it's game library please?

The mentioned solutions found in the forums does not work for me either, when launching the game from steam there are no error message or any pop up whatsoever, the EA app will just load to the foreground and nothing happens, the same thing happens when i try to launch from the EA launcher directly or even directly from the exe file.
I have tried : Clearing cache from EA app / validating steam
: Sfc scannow /DISM
: reinstalling the game, reinstalling both launchers
: disabling onedrive completely
: running the .exe file as admin, running without admin.: turning off msi afterburner/hwinfo
I'm afraid nothing has worked for me so far. My EA app is a newly registered account as I do not own an account for EA before that. but it is linked to my steam properly. It's 100% linked. On EA app the game's tile even has steam logo in the top right corner.
The same problem is happening to me. Managed to launch the game once and now it just won't open anymore. I tried to do all the actions but nothing worked. Disappointing.

Hi @DrakesDark,
Thanks for checking. We've ruled out some of the usual suspects with those. There are some other things to rule out just in case, if you wouldn't mind trying them too:
- Check Task Manager to ensure Wild Hearts has fully closed before trying to relaunch. If not, please 'End Task' and then attempt to boot up the title again.
- Reset the EA account password. In the past, this has worked for other players. Would you try that also please?
@23a07297b0843492 sorry to hear you're encountering this too. Have you tried everything @DrakesDark has i.e. migrated over to the EA app, confirmed the Steam account is linked up to the right EA account and run through the steps shared in this thread so far?
@FrostZz89 I've popped your post over to this thread also. It sounds like you might be in the same boat too. Can you read over the posts in this thread so far and confirm if you've also run through all of the recommendations to date please?
Thanks,
EA_Lanna
Yes, as I said, I've performed all actions including checking if Steam is linked. I changed the password and the game still doesn't open.
Yes. Wild Hearts does not show in manager for longer than 1 sec. Changing password also didn't help.

Hi @23a07297b0843492 and @DrakesDark,
Thank you for giving those steps a go. I'm sorry they didn't help sort this out for you.
I've gone ahead and sent on up what we've tried to the relevant team to review things since the migration and basic TS hasn't helped get you into the game. I'll update this thread and tag you when I have more information to share.

Hello @EA_Lanna , I have the exact same case as well.
I bought the game yesterday and was not able to boot it up through steam. I tried the exact same solutions mentioned above with no avail. I found a solution from someone where they suggested using the old Origin launcher. Weirdly enough that worked when I used the old Origin and disabled EA play. I played for 5 hours.
I tried it again today and I'm having the same issues like yesterday, but now the previous fix does not work as well.
I purchased Wild Hearts through steam after trying it out via EA Play Pro. The game does not launch, i receive no errors when i launch it. It procceeds to launch the EA/re launch it if its already running then closes the app only to open it back up again. The game never boots up and only gets stuck in a loop of relaunching the EA app. I have tried verifying the files on steam, launching in admin mode on/off, reinstalling. Nothing has worked so far. The game had NO ISSUES running when playing the trial version through xbox game passI have done additional digging with no progress. I found a suggestion that says if you still have the trial.exe in your game folder to delete that and try launching but that only prompts that the game has files missing and needs a repair. Running the verify on steam just redownloads the trial.exe and puts me back at the original problem.I had completely uninstalled the trial version before hand because i wanted to avoid something like this.

Hey all,
We continue to track this issue at the moment, but we have some additional steps we'd like you to try if you could:
Can you look through your "Apps and Features" section of Windows 10 and verify all versions of the game (and the trials) are uninstalled? If you're using Windows 11, you can find it under Settings - Apps - Installed Apps. Then reinstall the game only where you have the full game purchased.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, please run the EA Error Reporter and attach your Report ID here so we can get an updated look at this.
Thanks!
CM Edit: Added missing link to error report steps.
- @EA_Cade 034fe7be-dc9d-4231-9268-d9485a94f1a6 Ive got same issue and here is my report id and ive tried most ways on the HQ.
I bought the game on steam, when I launch through steam it says I do not have access. I have unlinked and relinked my steam account to my EA ID, verified file integrity, cleared my cache, added all files and apps to my firewall exceptions, yet I still can not play the game. Logging into ea app with my steam credentials signs me into this ea account ,but I still can not launch the game.
If this is of any help - there is a debug txt file in the steam folder of the Wild Hearts. Maybe this is a clue to what is going on.

Hi @DrakesDark If you are running into this issue would it be possible to try the steps @EA_Cade mentioned? If you continue running into issues could we get an Error Report ID?

I have only base version of the game and I did try to reinstall it twice - to no avail.
I can only add that I did pre-download it day before the launch day.
Here's the error report code:

Hope it all gets solved soon - I wish to play with you all!
I'm having the same issues. Opening from steam and the game doesn't launch - just opens the EA player.

I've already refunded, but I would love it if these issues get fixed.
I noticed one really odd thing that EA could look into as a possible cause. When logging into the EA app, using the steam credentials, I get sent to the approval page from Steam but then I get to a EA error page and the app logs in.
The game won't even start for me. No matter which Launcher I try to start it from, it just opens a Window called Link2EA whereafter the EA App closes itself and reopens. I tried all the fixes people have been posting for the last days and none of them fix it for me. My Steam Account is linked to my EA Account.
In the past I've had similar issues with other EA Games which were resolved when I just used Origin, as the Issues only happened on EA App. But now I can't even use Origin anymore because it forces me to download the EA App and delete Origin.EDIT: After trying all of the community knows fixes, I now get the game to show up in the Task Manager for like 5 Seconds before the EA App pops up again and the Task is gone
