Alright so here is something that I just painfully went through but am unsure if it will fix this issue, but here it goes:
So apparently this game likes to save your save progress in your Documents folder on your machine. This causes a pretty big issue when you have OneDrive (or any other cloud service like Google Drive) syncing your Documents folder to the cloud - I'm pretty sure the cloud sync was corrupting my save data
So if anyone else is experiencing this issue - make sure your documents folder isn't getting backed up to the cloud and that solved all of my crash issues for me.
Wild Hearts just went on sale on Steam so I'm really hoping other people see this and it helps them in some form or fashion. For real, this game is a lot of fun and is pretty unique! I had to tinker to be able to play but very glad I did and figured out the save issue - it's been a lot of fun!
