Windows 11 cannot launch game through Steam

There are a few more steps to try for that specific error code (0xc0000409): 

A) Run System File Checker to ensure the integrity of your Windows System files: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

B) Run CHKDSK

1. Open up the Command Prompt app with admin permissions 
2. Then, enter this command for running a CHKDSK scan and press Enter:

   CHKDSK C:/f/r/x

    
3. Press the Y key to schedule the scan.
    
4. Close out of the Command Prompt and restart your PC.
5. Wait for the scanning to complete.

C) Repair .Net Framework

1. Open the Microsoft .NET Framework download page.
2. Click the Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool download link there.
3. Next, bring up the tab in your browser that shows downloaded files. Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Opera browsers have a Ctrl + J hotkey for opening their download tabs.
4. Click the netfxrepairtool.exe file to open it.
    
5. Select I have read and accept the license terms in the Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool window.
    
6. Click Next to apply any recommended changes.
7. Press the repair tool's Finish button to exit.

Hi, thanks for replying.

A. sfc checks no integrity in my Windows system

B. chkdsk scan copmlete and no error reported

C. .Net Framework repair only recommend reinstall .Net Framework which I followed and no help

Only running Wild Hearts leads to error code 0xc0000409, which I suspect there is nothing about my Windows system.

Actually it seems many user having similar issue for days, I am totally fine you and your team take time to troubleshoot.

I am looking forward a solution from you soon, but not users trying to find workaround for you.

I had same issue. If fixed by verifying integrity of game files in Steam.

Hey @hayatetcbn Have you tried putting your device in a Clean Boot and then launching Wild Hearts? If the issue continues would it be possible to get a DxDiag?

I appreciate the model answer you have provided is from Microsoft support. And seems you are not aware of clean boot will terminate all services including network services.

Launching Wild Hearts itself still requires EA app and Steam which both of them require network connection.

I am lucky as I am working in IT industry and able to continue testing, I can't believe how despair normal user will be when asking them to connect network while clean boot disable network services. Please do go through your steps before providing to normal users which may not familiar with this.

I am sad with troubleshooting some not-my-business issue, spending my non-working hour, which I have paid from my pocket.
