I'm having the same issue and have also tried all given solutions. As far as I can tell from others having the same issue and things me and my friend have tried to get it working it won't allow two players who both own the game to play together, but it will let one player that owns the game play with another that doesn't own the game.
Some clarification on if this is the case would be much appreciated, and if it's just an unintended bug or a feature of the friend pass system. Thank you for your time.

Same here. Me and my buddy have been trying for 2 days now. I own the game but he doesn’t, and every time I invite him it just gets stuck in a never ending load screen. I love how we get a game that you can only play in co op but yet the co op doesn’t work on it? And I guarantee since it isn’t happening to everyone EA is going to wait as long as they possibly can to fix it.
