Change XBOX Gamertag Problem
I opened a new XBOX account and purchased an XBOX Game pass. My old XBOX account was linked to my EA Account. I removed the link by logging into my EA account, but when I wanted to link my new account, Your accounts cannot be linked because your EA Account linked to yi*****@hotmail.com has previously been linked with the Xbox account for DEKOVIL. An EA Account can only be linked to one Xbox account. I'm getting the error. I already unlinked my old account. Why can't we connect the new one?

An EA account can only ever have one of a specific type of account linked to it in its lifetime. If you look at our unlinking article:
When you link accounts, it creates a lifetime link to protect you from malicious activity and help prevent performance issues in your games.
You can unlink your platform accounts from your EA Account if you want to link them to a different EA Account, as long as that EA Account has never had the same account type linked to it before in its lifetime.
That means if you unlink an Xbox gamertag from your EA Account, you can’t link a different Xbox gamertag to it in the future.
Unfotunately this means you won't be able to link a new Xbox account, even if you unlink the old one.
