EA Monthly Subscriptions

Hi.  I am rather older and very new to this gaming.  I was advised to sign up on my computer to XBOX Pass so I could see if I would like the games.  There are several EA games on Xbox pass and I just purchased the F1*22 game for $100 and it is currently downloading.  I just noted that I need to play this game from the EA "software".  Does this mean that I need to opay a monthly subscriptions as well to EA to play this game I purchased?I do not want to be paying the xbox game pass subscription as well as an EA subscription.  Any help would certainly be appreciated.

    Hey @ernie62,

    Just so you know: the EA app and EA Play are two completely different things. One is the aforementioned software that's used to launch our games, and the other is a subscription which unlocks a library of EA titles to enjoy. That said, you don't need an EA Play subscription to play any of the games you've already bought. It's not a requirement for any title.

    You don't need a paid subscription to play the games - but you do need active internet, even if you intend to play single player. Keep that in mind. Although, by this time next year now that you gave them the idea to charge an active subscription to play their games, we likely will have to now. Anything for the wallet.
