Just to confirm, is the subscription active under Epic > Account > Subscriptions? Since you got the subscription through Epic, EA Play would only be available on that platform. So if you're trying to get an EA Play game on the EA App or another platform but aren't seeing your membership benefits kick in, that would explain why.
