I am blocked from playing EA games - VERY COMMON sign on issue

This will fall on deaf ears but I just thought I'd add to your pile of posts about this topic.

So, MY PSN is linked to an EA account. This EA account belongs to an 'orange webmail' account, which ceased to do business many years ago. So the email inbox does not exist anymore.  Of course I am being prompted to reset my password for this EA account whenever I try to play an EA game, which is physically impossible. Thus, playing any EA game that I own (many) is not possible.

So I think logically - OK, I'll contact support to unlink this old account and link it to a newer one that I can access.

But I've been told it cant be unlinked as it has been 'deleted from their database'? I've never deleted the account. Even if theres a deleted email associated with my PSN, support reps cant link a new account anyway due to the archaic system they are working with.

The horrifying thing is, I've seen support topics on this exact issue that date back to Feb 2017 (5 years - yikes), and there is still no fix.

Do not tell me to start a live chat with EA help or call a rep as I have talked to different agents 10+ times, with agents giving me the same response - my PSN is linked to a deleted email so there is nothing they can do.

OK, so what is the solution I ask? Support reps cant give me one. Tell me something different EA support reps, humor me. I've seen your same copy pasted reply on every thread from the past 5 years so I'm really excited to hear what you have to say 🙂 The least you could do is send me the contact details of a significant individual within EA who I can have a conversation with about this.

  • Hey @ItsJonesyy if you are unable to verify ownership of an EA account then our live support team will be unable to assist you in gaining access to or making any changes to an account.

The best thing to do is to gather as much additional info as possible and speak with our support again.

You can contact our live support at help.ea.com.

To  speak with a chat or phone adviser:

    Click on your product Origin

    Then select 'PC

    Manage my Account'

    Can't log in

Finally, you can choose to begin a chat or request a call back.

  • @EA_Darko I have already taken these steps. I can verify ownership. I have spoken to support over chat AND phone many times. I am being told it is physically impossible for them to remove the 'deleted' EA account (It shows as 'deleted' on their system, it doesnt even exist) from the account. This essentially renders all of my EA games useless, as I have said. Please suggest an alternative or provide contact details of someone who can actually help. Thanks

Hey @ItsJonesyy if our live support team has advised that they cannot assist then there is nothing that we can do to change this on AHQ.

  • @EA_Darko I know there is nothing you can do, which is why I am asking for alternative routes to get where someone can do something, do you understand?

Hey @ItsJonesyy if our live support is unable to assist then there is nothing that we or anyone else would be able to do.

I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread.
