If I cancel my membership, so I get to keep any of the games in my library?

I recently got ea play and enjoy playing the games in my library, but I'm worried that now if I cancel my subscription it will delete my games and save files.

  • Hi there, @Dragon_Miracles.

    You won't lose your save files, but you will lose the ability to play those games. As long as you hold on to the save files, you should be good to pick up where you left off if you purchase those games or subscribe again.

  • So its a situation where I have to pay in order to continue playing the sims 3. I'll have sims 3 save files but not the access to it. Correct?

    @Dragon_Miracles

    If it's a game you only have had access through due to an EA Play subscription, that is correct. You would either need to purchase the game or renew your subscription.

  • Hi,

    I have a similar, yet slightly different issue.

    Last year I bought the FIFA21 "Deluxe" version for my sons birthday.

    My son gave up on the game after playing for a week.

    This year I instead bought EA PLAY PRO subscription so he can try the game before buying it.

    It turns out that this year he has enjoyed the game and now has a great team and several million FIFA coins in his account.

    If I now buy the full game and terminate the EA PLAY PRO subscription, will he be able to continue to play with the team he has created on his account in EA PLAY PRO and keep all the coins - or is he forced to start all over again?

    Thanks.

  • @z0rvik  Your son's progress would carry over.  The only content he might lose is bonus items (not points) that come with the Ultimate Edition, and then only if you buy him the standard edition.

    And if I buy the FIFA22 Ultimate Edition, would he then receive an additional 4600 FIFA POINTS?

  • @z0rvik  I think not, since he's already been granted the points that come with the Ultimate Edition.  But maybe someone who knows how this works for sure will chime in.

  • hey,

    Is this legal? I paid for those games, (Dead Space series and Dragon Age series) and now I cant play them? So now EA is forcing me to pay for a subscription, to play games I already own? WTF IS THIS?

    @SoullRiper

    You can continue to play any games you have purchased. If you're having trouble with that, please start a new thread. I'm now going to lock this one to prevent further "necro-posting".
