Known Issue Workaround: Unable to Download EA Play Games for EA Desktop

Hey all, we are aware that some users accessing EA Play through Xbox Game Pass are experiencing issues where they are unable to download or access EA Play games.

The team is aware of the issue and investigating.

In the meantime, if you are an EA Play member through Xbox Game Pass and running into this issue then the team recommends uninstalling EA Desktop from your system and then when next launching the Xbox App allow it to download and install EA Desktop.

Once done you should be able to access your EA Play games through the EA Desktop.

Thanks for your patience and we will update you with further information as we get it.

    My son is having these issues, he’s 16, can’t download loads of games, battlefield v - need for speed - etc. all games rated 16. Sat on the phone with EA help for hours and online chat, got no where. It’s a disgrace. If it doesn’t work (it doesn’t) don’t put it out there and drive us mad with frustration.

    EA - Your post regarding the issues was posted in May…it’s now August. 3 months have past and the issue is still not fixed? Are you seriously saying that your expert teams have been working for 3 months on this and still can’t fix it? It’s hard to believe, also - it’s clearly not fit for purpose, so get rid of it until it is and save us all the frustration of looking for solutions to fix an unfixable problem.

    I purchased a bundle last night and when I go to try and manually install from the game itself, it doesn't allow it. It just says I own the game.
