So I bought ea play to get the 10 hour free trial of madden 23 but I want to end my subscription and I did on PlayStation but it still makes me buy it with ea play and I don’t want to pay 5 a month for the game is there anyway I can fix this?

To cancel your EA Play subscription on PS4, please follow these steps:
Keep in mind, if you cancel your membership, you’ll keep your game progress (as long as you don’t manually delete your save files) and all earned Trophies. However, you can’t continue playing the games you’ve downloaded unless you buy them or reactivate your membership. When you reactivate your membership or buy the games, you can pick up right where you left off the next time you play.
Once you cancel your membership, you will keep your membership benefits until the end of your membership period.

So if I cancel but it still gives me benefits and I buy the game with the benefits does that mean I have to pay for the membership still to keep playing or can I play without paying 5 a month

If you have an active EA Play subscription and you cancel it, you can still have the membership benefits until the end of membership period. This means that you can still play games until the end of your membership time after 30 days since you activated the subscription.
If it asks you to pay for the subscription, that probably means that you spent all the 10 hours trial OR probably means that the your membership period has already ended and you have to buy the game or reactivate your membership to keep playing the games.

I still don’t really understand what you are saying. So I canceled it but why won’t it just let me buy the game without ea play benefits because I don’t want to pay the 5 a month.
Hey @Luke213108 let me clarify this to you,
You cancelled your EA Play subscription, but you are still able to continue playing EA Play games until your membership time expires (30 days have passed since your last time you subscribed to EA Play). That means if you subscribed on June 1st, then you cancelled it on any day on June (let's say June 10th), you can still play EA Play games and keep your membership benefits until July 1st. After that, you can choose to renew your membership or decide to buy the game and continue playing, it's up to you.
If you cancelled your subscription, you won't be charged 5 a month.
