Origin thinks I don't have EA play

I have a Xbox game pass ultimate subscription which includes an EA Play package. The problem is that Origin thinks I do not have EA Play and wants to sell me something I ALREADY OWN. How do I get Origin to realise that I already have a EA Play subscription and thus have the right to download my game????????

  • I can't change the commentary language in Fifa trough EA Desktop, this should be correlated with origin and it's not. It says in settings that my account is linked with it, but can't really do anything about it since i can't simply download games trough origin.

Ok it somehow works suddenly, wth?

  • This absolutely makes zero sense. Why would I have to pay for a subscription I already am paying for through game pass? This asinine, greedy BS is why everyone despises EA.

I just spoke to the EA chat support and they confirmed this. If you buy it through Steam, you can only use it through Steam. If you want to use it through Origin, you have to pay for it again. MIND BOGGLING

Hey @256VIPER1024 it you have EA Play through Xbox Game Pass then you will only be able to access it on EA Desktop.

If you wish to access it on Origin then you will need to  sign up to EA Play member on Origin.

And that is what normal people who don't work for big corporations call "theft". YOU ARE FORCING PEOPLE TO PAY TWICE FOR ACCESS TO GAMES AND CONTENT THAT THEY ALREADY PAID TO ACCESS! FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY AS THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH YOUR BUSINESS, NOT A CUSTOMER ISSUE! All you are doing is giving the world more ammunition to sue you out of the business altogether.
