Poor EA Play subscription management experience
I just figured out EA has been billing me for a duplicate EA Play subscription on one account for at least 15 month. That is a really bad customer experience.
I added Xbox game pass ultimate to my xbox account which was already linked to my EA account. This then entitled me to EA Play, and my EA account already had a direct EA Play subscription (not steam or epic, etc.). Sure, EA posted in the forums here that I would need to go cancel my direct EA Play subscription myself, but that's just lazy, poor customer service. link - https://answers.ea.com/t5/EA-Play-Console/EA-Play-on-Xbox-Game-Pass/m-p/9482973#M505
I'm not in the habit of reviewing the forums of all the various digital content provider companies I used when I change a subcription in any of them. I posting here in case this helps another customer realize they are double paying and because I wonder how many other people are still getting charged for EA Play after they subscribe to Xbox Game Pass. Seems like a pretty clear case for class action.
I attached a picture that shows two EA play memberships on my account. One monthly billed direct and one through xbox.
I'm just going to cancel the direct membership and not bother trying to get a refund. Buyer beware. ☹️
